Read the pros and cons sections up above. I have detailed all the things that I like and dislike about this vehicle. Incidentally, I purchased the Frontier Pro-4x King Cab design, in order to get the most loaded up version of the King Cab design. But now, I am adding sound-proofing to the inside of the cabin in order to quiet it down, and I am changing exterior parts on the truck to get rid of the off-road look, and make it look more like an SV trim level (street version of the truck). This includes changing the wheels and tires, the front grille, the rear bumper, and having the Pro-4x/tire tread stickers on the sides of the bed removed. If an SL trim level had been available in the King Cab design, I would have totally order that, cause that's what I really wanted.
Nissan Frontier Ratings, Reviews and Analysis
Ratings & Reviews
Bought a one-owner Frontier SE in 2014 with 52,000 miles on the odometer. Now I have 70,000 miles. No issues to-date. Great horsepower, smooth shifting, plenty of tow power. I live near Lake Placid, NY and the temperatures have gotten down to -30F. Windchill down to -89! Never an issue starting - the factory battery was replaced at 55,000. The on-demand 4WD works perfectly as does the Low-4WD. Transmission shifts smoothly.Great value when compared to similar trucks. Plenty of power. Reliable, good gas mileage, stable driving on highway
We use this truck to tow campers, boats, haul home furnishings, haul disabled persons with wheelchairs, and more. I use it to commute to work, church, shop for groceries, as well as work on farm with it. Off road, and on, extreme hot, to extreme cold. To me this truck is very reliable & utility. The smaller width makes it easy to park and drive on our ever narrowing roads and parking lots.
I like that it gets good gas milage.A manuel transmissions five speed. The glove compartment is out because the lock broke(piece of plastic).the color is the worst thing for me, it s that teal/aqua green. Hope to have it another five years
It came down to a choice between the Honda Ridgback, Toyota Tacoma, or Nissan Frontier. Could not get myself to like the look of the Honda and the Toyota was just too expensive and smaller especially the driver's seat. Nissan was perfect for me.
